This Sidr Mumtaz Honey comes directly from the unpolluted, mountainous regions of Yemen, where the Sidr tree thrives. It is a monofloral honey, meaning bees gather nectar primarily from the Sidr (Ziziphus spina-christi) blossoms, giving it its distinct character. We ensure it is raw, unfiltered, and unpasteurized, preserving its natural qualities just as nature intended. You will notice its rich, dark amber to reddish-brown colour and a strong, distinctive aroma of mountain herbs. When you taste it, you will find a complex, deep, and rich flavour, often with buttery notes and a hint of caramel, leaving a pleasant, lingering aftertaste that is sweet but not overly sugary. Its texture is thick, dense, and viscous, pouring slowly and smoothly, a sign of its natural richness. Many in the Gulf enjoy a spoonful daily, or use it as a natural sweetener in warm milk, coffee, or herbal teas. It also pairs wonderfully with breakfast items like pancakes or yogurt, and can elevate salad dressings or marinades.
